Conflict Zone Exhibition A Big Success!

In Dallas Chapter Events on January 9, 2012 at 10:01 PM

The opening for the Conflict Zone exhibition was very well received and attended , featuring lectures by three of the exhibited photographers and a wine and cheese reception (courtesy of the Dallas ASMP). The work itself revealed life on the battlefield, bringing home the tragedy, horror and depravity of war. The Conflict Zone project was inspired by New York Times photographer Joao Silva, who lost both legs in a landmine blast in Afghanistan. The exhibition and the Conflict Zone project is now dedicated to Chris Hondros – one of the featured photographers – who was killed in Libya in April of 2011. You may learn more about Conflict Zone at www.conflictzone.org. The exhibition runs through January 31st at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center.
